I wasn't a young, girl-troubled, make-up obsessed, obese child growing up. Maybe that is why I can't relate to their music. "Friday, I'm in Love" was the very first song I ever heard of theirs, and that was all I needed to know I didn't ever want to hear anymore.

And Jared I would fight to the death for your right to have that opinion.
No matter how much it pains me.
Now I'm off. For only Robert Smith and company can heal these wounds.
And hey, you were only three-fourths right in your description of my childhood.
So there!
Forgive me, Scot. I hope this doesn't damage our relationship.
Gag reflex, indeed.
I don't like them either.
Robert Smith: "Can I have my walkie talkie back?"
Eric Cartman: "No!"
Robert Smith: "I'll roshambo you for it."
Eric Cartman: "Huh?"
:Robert Smith kicks Eric Cartman in the nuts:
That is the extent of my liking of Robert Smith and/or the Cure.
With time and a dozen or so sessions of intensive relationship counseling I think we just might make it Jared.
I think I have a cure cd and perhaps a few mp3s of theirs, but I would hardly say I'm a fan. Still, are you guys saying that you can't find a handful of songs from them that you can stand or like even a little? I think I would be hard pressed to find a band that didn't at least have one song I found tolerable.
